About me

Hello! I'm Winnie Winters.

I am a passionate seeker and dancer.

My whole life has been a quest for meaning, sense-making and realigning with what really matters over and over again, a journey towards more and more integration and wholeness.

Life can be short. I really want to make the most of my time and I made a promise to my oldest brother before he died, I would always follow my heart. So, slowly but surely, my passion became my work as I found ways to give back and share what works for and matters to me. Because at the end of the day, finding meaning or happiness and not sharing it with the world doesn’t make any sense at all.

Paying it forward is what it’s really all about.

how it started

My journey of sense-making started as a young child. I grew up in a small village with one Catholic school. My interests were so diverse that I got to know many subcultures and schools of thought, and it touched me when they didn’t like each other. I remember feeling disheartened by criticism and intolerance. I felt alone in my liking of diverse philosophies and perspectives as if I didn’t really belong anywhere.

I started questioning many things. Why was there so much separation? What is truly important to people? How can I make others like each other? Why were some people happy and others not? How come there are children on this planet that don’t have food? The world didn’t make much sense to me.

I wanted to connect the dots, bridge the differences and understand this world and human behavior. It led me to study psychology, read dozens of books and explore many spiritual traditions, which brought me to an equal amount of interesting destinations.

After my studies I spent five years doing academic research about burnout and stress without ever seeing a single client. I remember that I understood the ivory tower syndrome.

I'm on a journey towards more and more integration and wholeness.

How much was I actually helping?

Whose life was I improving?

Did my sense-making make any sense?

And so, I declined on the post-doc scholarship I was offered and was determined to make my work more purposeful. I started specializing in psychotherapy while managing a full-time IT job.

Meanwhile, dance, more specifically Latin and African-inspired dance had become an important part of my life. It even developed into a semi-professional activity as a teacher and performer. I had such profound breakthroughs with dancing that I knew one day I needed to incorporate this in transformational work. So in preparation, I studied dance therapy beside my other therapy studies.

After 10 years of having a coaching business (mostly cognitive work) alongside a dance school (mostly physical work), the real push to integrating those two paths came from a different event altogether.

Leaving my city studio and moving back to NATURE, connected me to the bigger system and softened my feminine body in a way that I hadn’t experienced before. And that’s where we are today.

At this moment, it all makes sense

and it is my personal paradigm shift:

mind & body,

sense & senses,

heart & hips,

profound meaning & intense joy,
with a spiritual touch;

all integrated in my life and my work.

The most important thing I want you to get from my personal story is that there is hope. Change is possible. If I can do it, you can too.

I am looking forward to connecting with you if you resonate with this or feel like reaching out, even if just for a coffee, tea or juice chat.

Heartfelt greetings,
